Sad day…

Today my daughter had to put to rest our 11 1/2 year old bulldog, Beatrice. Her and Newman were siblings. They started fighting around the age four and my daughter with a huge heart adopted Beatrice from me.

She was so stubborn and when you would visit Alicia, Beatrice would not get off this couch that is in this picture. She would wait for you to walk around and say hello to her. We always envisioned her voice to be a raspy old lady that drank gin all day and smoked two packs a day! She will be missed! 😒

So Mark said we are going to the beach to get your mind off of Beatrice.. We have been having rain off and on all morning, but I said OK!

Well once we reached the beach it started to rain lightly. Then it turned into this.

It was crazy! But then we started walking again. Mark brought his clam gun that he made McGyver style!

And we dug up a couple of these beauties. They are purple varnish clams.

Then we found some sand shrimp.

Then we walked along the beach.

This is the famous Taffy rock.

Nothing like the sound of the water to help sooth the soul.

After walking the beach, Mark and I sit in this little area before we head back up to the property. (It’s an uphill climb) LOL

Thank you Mark for the distraction!
