Alicia came to visit! ❤️ It was so wonderful to spend time with her for a few days. We came to the island for the first couple days.

Of course once I picked up Alicia at the the airport we had to make a quick stop before heading home.

Is he not just the most handsome rooster you have ever seen! His name is Clifford.

The next day Alicia helped me plant some flowers.

When Alicia had to put Beatrice down, she got me this cute plaque in remembrance of her.

That was a lot of work and of course adjusting to the three hour time difference a nap was needed!

Then we took a great walk on the beech at low tide. Mark was showing Alicia how his clam gun works.

Alicia and I sat on the beach watching Mark. He strolled for awhile and took forever to come back but when he did he had this!

A Geoduck . It was a fun day!

Friday, Alicia and I headed to Seattle for a couple days. We did not do anything special that afternoon. We walked around Ballard and went through some of the local shops.

Saturday I took her to the Ballard Locks. She was able to see the process in how the boats go through the locks. Unfortunately the Fish Ladder was closed due to maintenance.

Then we went to Pikes Place Market! Alicia loved all the flower vendors.

Then on our way home I was able to take Alicia to the Troll in the Fremont district.

Sunday, the day Alicia goes home. So we made sure we squeezed everything in!

Our first event was the Tulip Festival in Skagit County. The drive up north was beautiful and sunny. Alicia and I were in awe of this beautiful tulip farm! There are several you can tour but we went to RoozenGaarde. I am only posting a few of my pictures. 😂

They have signs everywhere telling people to stay on the road and not get in the rows.

Then I thought this was an interesting photo shoot… 🧐

People were just walking around this couple the whole time they were taking their pictures. I just don’t think I could do that!

Overall it was an awesome experience and I am so happy we went!

Then we headed back to Seattle and had some fish and chips at Ivars and sat outside on the patio with this awesome view.

Then we headed to the Space Needle. What an awesome thing to do if you visit Seattle. We loved it!

Then I had to take her to the airport. 😢 We had a great time and I can’t wait for her to come back for her next visit!

  1. The tulip farm was just beautiful. All those rows and rows of flowers. It made me wonder what a photo from the air would look like.
